TalkTalk has seen a rise in the number of HomeSafe activations since Christmas, it has been revealed.

Alex Hollingdale, Director of Product Management at the broadband provider, said more and more people are realising the value offered by the network level security product.

He noted that 200,000 TalkTalk subscribers now use HomeSafe to protect their connections, and ensure children can browse the internet safely.

"As predicted, this Christmas was full of gadget gifts which meant we've seen an increase in activations as even more devices are now connected to the home broadband connection," Mr Hollingdale stated.

He explained that the HomeSafe Virus Alerts feature helps stop viruses before they reach user devices, by alerting them of webpages suspected of carrying a virus.

"HomeSafe is easy to activate by taking just a few simple steps in My Account," Mr Hollingdale stated.

The product is available to all TalkTalk home broadband deal subscribers.
