TalkTalk has launched new cut-price broadband deals for its popular Essentials and Plus tariffs.

The broadband provider is now offering 12 months' half-price service on TalkTalk Essentials and nine months half-price service on the higher-tier TalkTalk Plus.

UK households are also entitled to a free connection worth £30, adding to the savings possible with TalkTalk broadband this spring.

Consumers signing up for TalkTalk Essentials can enjoy high-speed downloads, a 40GB usage allowance and free evening & weekend UK landline calls on a 12-month contract.

A free wireless broadband router is also included, enabling subscribers to access the internet via a variety of web-enabled devices.

With a 50 per cent discount included, Essentials customers pay just £3.25 per month for the first year of their contract for home phone and broadband services.

TalkTalk Plus customers receive high-speed broadband, an unlimited monthly usage allowance, unlimited anytime UK landline calls and a free wireless broadband router.

The broadband package - which also includes a free connection worth £30 - is priced at £7.25 for the first nine months of a 12-month contract.

The broadband package is likely to appeal to heavier internet users, and those who enjoy making phone calls from their landline during the week.

With an unlimited monthly usage allowance, subscribers can freely download music and films from the internet without the fear of incurring penalty charges.

TalkTalk is giving UK households two months to take advantage of this broadband deal, with the offer scheduled to run until March 7th 2012.
