It has been "an unforgettable 12 months" for Plusnet, the Sheffield-based broadband provider has claimed.

Writing in the company blog, Adam Walker said the company has performed very well - maintaining its Which? recommendation for the third consecutive time.

He explained that the company also launched super-fast fibre services, and launched a range of broadband deals which have no monthly usage restrictions.

"With the unprecedented activation of fibre in 98 new areas and more and more happening week by week, it’s great to end the year by offering truly unlimited fibre broadband," Mr Walker stated.

Plusnet also won the Best Consumer Fixed Broadband gong at the Internet Service Providers Association Awards, and topped a Which? poll of the best super-fast broadband providers.

In addition, the firm launched a new slogan for its advertising campaigns: "We'll do you proud".
