Be Broadband has extended its current half-price internet deal until the end of the month.

The firm is currently offering 12 months' home broadband for the price of six, although the deal had been scheduled to expire.

Consumers will now have the opportunity to earn a 50 per cent discount on Be Broadband services until March 31st 2013.

The broadband deal is available to households signing up for home internet services on a 12-month contract.

All consumers need to do to take advantage of the offer is use the 'NEWYEAR13' promotion code when going through the subscription process.

UK consumers have three package options for Be Broadband services - Be Value, Be Unlimited and Be Pro.

These broadband deals can be taken with or without home broadband services.

Be Value - which is priced at £17 per month - offers up to 10Mb download speeds and 1.1Mb uploads on a 12-month contract.

The mid-tier Be Unlimited tariff offers up to 16Mb download speeds and 1.1Mb uploads for £22 per month.

And Be Pro - priced at £27 per month - offers up to 16Mb downloads with a 1.9Mb upload limit.

Consumers signing up for this package also receive a static IP address.

There is no usage allowance on any of the broadband deals, meaning consumers can download as much data as they like.

Last week, it was announced that Sky had agreed a deal to take over O2 and Be Broadband's fixed internet businesses for a fee of at least £180 million.

The acquisition will make Sky the UK's second-largest home broadband provider.
