Virgin Media is now offering 12 months' half-price on its higher-tier TV, home phone and broadband bundles.

New subscribers can enjoy a 50 per cent discount on the service provider's Premiere and VIP Collections, enabling them to make significant savings during the first year of their contract.

The Virgin Media Premiere Collection ordinarily costs £48 per month, plus a monthly line rental fee of £14.99.

However, for the first 12 months of an 18-month contract, customers can pay just £24 plus line rental for subscription TV, home phone and broadband.

In terms of internet services, the Premiere Collection offers up to 60Mb download speeds and an unlimited monthly usage allowance.

Customers receive a free wireless broadband router, enabling them to get online on multiple devices throughout the home.

Weekend calls to UK landlines are included, while subscribers can also call Virgin Mobile numbers at no extra charge.

The broadband bundle offers more than 200 TV channels, 34 of which are in HD. Customers also receive a 500GB TiVo box, and a spare box which can be used in a separate room.

Viewers can also take advantage of the Virgin TV Anywhere service, which allows consumers to enjoy content on-the-move via a connected mobile device.

The current 12-month half-price offer also applies to the Virgin Media VIP Collection, which offers up to 100Mb broadband, an unlimited usage allowance, a free wireless router and unlimited anytime calls.

Some 225 channels are included with the top-tier bundles, 47 of which are in HD. Subscribers can tune in to a number of premium channels, including Sky Sports F1, Sky Movies HD, Sky Sports 1 HD and Sky Sports 2 HD.

With the VIP Collection, customers receive a 1TB TiVo box, offering greater storage space for content recorded from the television.

The broadband bundle ordinarily costs £99 per month plus line rental, but is currently discounted to £49.50 per month plus line rental for the first 12 months.
