O2 is to launch 4G dongle deals before the end of 2013, it has been announced.

The service provider says it will be introducing super-fast pay-as-you-go and mobile broadband tariffs "before the end of the year".

O2 added that more details about the new service - which will allow mobile broadband users to access faster download speeds - will be coming soon.

Meanwhile, O2 is giving its business customers the opportunity to take advantage of 4G services via a range of tablet, mobile broadband and mobile Wi-Fi deals.

The firm is offering SIM-only packages for small businesses, starting at £21.67 for 1GB of data on a 12-month contract.

And up until October 31st, O2 is building additional data into its most popular small business SIM-only 4G tariffs.

This means 5GB of data is available for £25.84 per month - as opposed to the normal 3GB - and 8GB is available for £30 per month - compared to the standard 5GB.

O2 is launching 4G mobile broadband services in the UK on August 29th 2013.
