London rapper Plan B is playing a special gig at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire tonight (Thursday August 29th) to mark the launch of O2's super-fast mobile broadband network.
O2 4G services go live today, enabling customers to access faster and more reliable mobile broadband services.
The O2 4G London launch gig is to be streamed across three central London digital media locations - Kings Cross Station, Victoria Station and The Wall at Westfield Shepherd’s Bush.
Plan B will perform at 8pm to an audience of 2,000 people, as well as crowds gathered at the live streamed locations.
Audiences at Kings Cross and Victoria Stations will be given O2 headphones to enjoy the gig as a live-streamed silent disco.
For those living outside the capital, the gig will be hosted live on YouTube via O2 Academy TV, and also available across O2’s social media channels.
Shadi Halliwell,Head of Brand at the broadband provider, said O2 wants to inspire customers by showcasing the "exciting possibilities" provided by 4G.
"What better way to do this than by live streaming an exclusive gig across London," she stated.
"By bringing to life brilliant entertainment on the move, we hope to encourage customers to explore technology and to live more, do more and be more with O2.”
