TalkTalk has added to the appeal of its TV offering by launching a new suite of premium World TV Channels.

Viewers can now take advantage of three new World TV Boosts - provided by THEMA - allowing them to enjoy programmes in Japanese, Arabic and Afrikaans.

The Arabic TV Boost offers customers access to a selection of 12 channels from major Arabic Networks including OSN, ART, and Al Jazeera.

For Japanese viewers, the JSTV Boost includes JSTV and JSTV2, the only channels available in this language in Europe. They cover all genres, from entertainment, movies and news, to sports and kids.

The UK's estimated 216,000 Afrikaans speakers can tune into kykNET and kykNET Musiek, offering a range of entertainment programmes in South African.

Each of the TV add-ons is now available via the TalkTalk player from as little as £10 a month.

Tristia Harrison, Commercial Director at TalkTalk, said the TV, home phone and broadband provider is "delighted" to offer more entertainment from a further three regions, as part of the diverse range of content available on YouView from TalkTalk.

She said the company is proud to bring the "popular channels" to Japanese, Afrikaans and Arabic speaking viewers across the UK.

François Thiellet, Chief Executive of THEMA said the firm was "very glad" to make its channels available in Britain, a place where international communities "thrive".

"There is no better partner than TalkTalk to reach our audience," he stated.

TalkTalk TV viewers already have access to a host of other international content, through the Star TV Boost - which offers movies and entertainment from the UK's most popular Asian network - the Asian Boost - which shows entertainment from Bollywood - and the Eros Now Boost, which offers unlimited access to top Indian films.
