Plusnet is giving consumers the chance to make significant savings when signing up for unlimited ADSL broadband.

The firm's entry-level broadband and home phone package is currently available for just £2.50 per month plus line rental for 12 months.

This is down from the normal price of £9.99 per month plus line rental - the level it reverts to after the first year.

Plusnet Unlimited offers download speeds of up to 16Mb, with no restrictions on the amount of data subscribers can consume.

Customers receive weekend calls, a free wireless broadband router and a free activation, enabling them to make additional savings.

They can upgrade to evening and weekend calls for another £2 per month, or anytime calls for £5 per month.

Plusnet describes its unlimited broadband deal as being "a perfect package for large families, downloaders and gamers".

The broadband offer is set to run until September 2nd 2014.
