Budget broadband provider Direct Save Telecom is aiming to attract new subscribers with a free line activation offer.

Customers are now entitled to free activation and a low-cost line installation where applicable - which could be particularly useful if they are moving house.

The firm will now install new lines for just £29.95, providing the customer agrees an 18-month broadband deal.

With some broadband providers charging over £100 for new line installations, this can help significantly reduce start-up costs for new customers.

Stavros Tsolakis, Chief Executive of Direct Save Telecom, said it was about time a deal was put in place for UK movers.

“Line activation and new line installation have been far too expensive for far too long,” he claimed.

“Movers can now enjoy free line activation, and low-cost line installation, when they sign-up to our £1.95, 18-month deal,” he stated.

Movers will not be able to find a better deal in the UK, Mr Tsolakis claimed.
