Company history

The highly regarded, award-winning Primus Saver service is provided by New Call Telecom, an innovative, young company run by experienced UK Telecoms sector specialists, formerly of Primus Telecommunication LTD.

New Call Telecom took control of Primus Telecommunications LTD on October 1st 2010 and has pledged to build on the company's Primus Saver product range with enhanced services and even cheaper call rates. Primus Broadband is already regarded as one of the UK's best value providers, with a suite of attractive products that include Home Phone Saver, Eco Saver, Saver Pre Pay, Phone + Broadband, and New Line Installations.

Customer service

Primus customer support is highly rated by subscribers and industry experts. In 2010, it was highly commended by homephonechoices.com for its customer service.

Primus’ call centre is open between the hours of 8pm and 9pm and is free of charge for all subscribers. Alongside this, a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) is available on the site, detailing solutions to common problems. The advice includes everything from explanations of billing to step by step instructions to enable customers to fix minor problems with routers and phones.

Home phone customers also get an itemised e-bill to make it easy to track your call costs and save on administration costs. The savings made are then passed on to customers.

Equipment

All Primus broadband and calls packages come with a free wireless router to enable a single connection to be shared among multiple web-enabled devices, such as laptops, iPods and games consoles.

Free connection is also standard across Primus broadband and calls product range.

Software features

To ensure subscribers are kept safe from viruses while online, security software is provided free for all customers signing up with Primus broadband and home phone packages.
