Current Account Awards 2014

First Direct was voted the Best current account 2014 and came top in 7 other categories. Nationwide and C0-op came 2nd and 3rd in nearly all of the categories, while Santander was voted Best rewards, with its 123 current account offering cashback and high-interest rates on balances.

Meanwhile RBS gained the least amount of votes in all but one category.

On a positive note, the survey which has been running since 2007, has found that the tide has been turning in 2014 when it comes to consumer trust in banks.

Seven in ten consumers now trust their current account provider, with Co-op who had a troubled year still scoring high on trust and satisfaction.

The uSwitch Current Account Awards 2014 survey was conducted online by Opinium, on behalf of uSwitch, from 7 to 17 January 2014 among 10,629 current account holders.
