First Trust Bank (NI) Visa Option 1 |
Allied Irish Banks was formed in 1966 and gradually became a successful international organisation. In July 1991 the merger of AIB group’s interests in Northern Ireland with those of TSB Northern Ireland created First Trust Bank, which among other financial services, offers a variety of credit card options to suit a range of customer needs.
First Trust’s Credit Card Option One is aimed at customers who clear their balance in full each month, offering an exclusive cashback scheme whereby you can earn a fixed sum if you use your card a specified number of times and spend a certain amount. After you have reached this limit you can receive a small percentage of cashback, but there is a maximum reward that can be paid per annum. Other card features include an introductory period of interest-free credit, 24-hour customer service and no annual fee.
Compare this card with other UK credit cards using our free and impartial comparison service to make sure it offers the best cashback deal. The prospect of being rewarded for using your credit card certainly has its attractions, but cashback cards generally have a relatively high APR so make sure that you are able to clear your balance in full each month – otherwise it is worth making a comparison, because the First Trust Bank Visa Option One may not have the best interest rate.
