Ulster Bank credit cards |
Ulster Bank was founded in Belfast in 1836. From the outset it issued its own banknotes and determined to open branches ‘in the principal trading towns throughout Ulster’. During the 1970s, many branches of Ulster Bank were bombed, but the bank carried on, diversifying into computer services, investment and offshore banking.
Today Ulster Bank Group is the third largest bank in Ireland and provides a comprehensive range of financial services to personal, small business and large corporate and institutional customers across the whole of Ireland.
The standard Ulster Bank credit card offers an introductory offer on purchases and balance transfers. You can also build a collection of Air Miles by using your card, and there is no annual fee. The Gold Ulster Bank credit card offers more Air Miles for spending less on your card, and gives free travel insurance.
Once your introductory deal on either card has expired you will have to pay the typical APR, so it’s worth shopping around if you need a low APR.
The credit card market in the UK is very crowded, so there are many great deals out there.
