NatWest current accounts

NatWest was acquired by the Royal Bank of Scotland Group in 2000, in the largest take-over in British banking history. It was formed in 1968 as a merger between the National Provincial Bank and the Westminster Bank. NatWest now has 3,600 branches. It launched its first NatWest credit card in 1972.

What makes NatWest’s current accounts different?

Whether you want a simple way to do your daily banking or an account that gives you exclusive financial and lifestyle features, NatWest has a current account that fits the bill. The NatWest Advantage Gold account, for instance, has a small monthly charge but provides customers with annual family travel insurance and special mortgage deals. Or there's the NatWest Step account which gives easy access to your money but without an overdraft or loan facility.

How can I compare NatWest with other UK current account providers?

The uSwitch.com current accounts comparison service has been developed with this in mind. The service asks you a series of simple questions and then searches the UK current accounts market to find the accounts that best suit your financial circumstances. There may be a NatWest current account among your recommendations, or you might find another account that is more suitable.
