Telecom Plus home phone |
Telecom Plus plc was established in 1997. Its aim is to provide low-cost home and business phone services throughout the UK. The main objective of Telecom Plus is to undercut monopoly suppliers like BT. With Telecom Plus you will get a traditional phone service, with fully itemised bills sent to your home.
If you are an existing BT customer you connect through Carrier Pre Selection (CPS). CPS routes your calls through a new home phone supplier without needing to dial an access code or having equipment installed. BT will still own, run and send you bills for your line rental and Telecom Plus will send a separate bill for your calls. You can keep your existing telephone number.
If you are an existing cable customer you connect to Telecom Plus through an autodialler. An autodialler is a small adapter that plugs into the phone socket of your existing phone line and automatically routes the calls through Telecom Plus. BT or your cable company will still own, run and send you bills for your line rental and your phone number will not change. You will get a separate bill for the calls you make through the autodialler from Telecom Plus.
If you’re looking for a new phone supplier, you’ve probably got a list of requirements – for instance, would you like to manage your account online or would you prefer paper bills? Do you need a company that offers cheap local calls, or are most of your calls international?
The uSwitch.com home phone comparison service can compare all suppliers to find the ones that suit you best. So, should you consider switching to Telecom Plus, or is there another supplier that will save you more money? Compare now and find out.
