Pipex Homecall |
Pipex Homecall is the home phone service from Pipex - a multi award winning provider of internet and home phone services, and has over one million customers. Established in 1991, Pipex was the first commercial ISP in the UK and is now one of the country's five largest ADSL providers.
Please note: Pipex Homecall are no longer accepting new customers.
You can connect to Pipex Homecall through Wholesale Line Rental (WLR). WLR is a product that BT is obliged to provide to other home phone suppliers, allowing them to offer both line rental and calls to customer’s over BT’s local network.
If you select a supplier offering WLR you will no longer have a contract with BT, but with the new supplier. Your bills will only be sent from your new WLR supplier. Switching to WLR doesn’t involve any work on your phone line and you keep your existing phone number. It is only available to customers who have a BT line.
You can also connect to Pipex Homecall through Carrier Pre Selection which automatically routes your calls without needing to dial an access code or having equipment installed.
To make sure you’re getting the best deal for your household, you should compare all suppliers available to see which one suits you best. This might sound complicated, but the uSwitch.com home phone comparison service has been developed to do the hard work for you. All you need to do is enter a few details about the calls you typically make (do you make local, national or international calls, or perhaps calls to mobiles?). The service will then compare everything and provide a results table of the most suitable tariffs for you. Find out now if you should sign up to a Pipex Homecall phone tariff.
