The Current Cost TREC energy monitor helps you to spot which appliances are guzzling electricity, monitor how much energy you are using and even estimate how much it is costing you.
It gives real time results so you can monitor at any time of day and compare where you are using the most energy.
It also displays the energy usage of individual appliances (using an IAM plug), allowing you to identify the least energy-efficient devices in your home.
It’s cheap to run too – it uses less than 1 watt, equating to approximately £1.30 a year.
Enviroplug
The Enviroplug is designed to stop you from wasting energy when charging your mobile phone.
You plug your phone charger into the Enviroplug and it detects when your battery is full or your mobile isn’t connected and shuts off the power accordingly.
If you use a typical mobile phone charger and you leave it plugged in and turned on all the time, you could cut the amount of electricity it uses by up to 90% with an Enviroplug.
That’s enough power to watch TV for 19 days or boil a kettle more than 100 times.
There’s nothing to install or set-up – just plug it in and you’re ready to go.
HaloSaver energy-saving halogen light bulbs (pack of 5, 60W equivalent)
HaloSaver energy-saving light bulbs are energy-efficient, dimmable halogen light bulbs which could save you up to 30% on your lighting bill.
They use much less energy than a traditional light bulb (just 42W to provide a 60W-equivalent light) and they last longer too, so you save in two ways.
This light bulb has a bayonet fitting.

How does the TREC energy monitor work?
The TREC energy monitor receives a wireless signal every six seconds from its accompanying transmitter, which is fitted to your energy meter. This then shows changes in your household energy consumption.
Is the TREC energy monitor difficult to install?
No, the TREC energy monitor is straight forward to install. Once you have paired the monitor and transmitter, simply plug in the energy monitor in a convenient place in your home and the transmitter into your mains meter.
Is the TREC energy monitor difficult to read?
No, the energy monitor is clearly labeled, indicating how much energy you are using at the moment, how much it costs and how much you save or spend when an appliance is on or off.
Enviroplug
Can I use it with other products/devices?
No – the Enviroplug is only for use with mobile phone chargers.
How do I use it?
Plug the Enviroplug into the wall socket and plug the charger into the adapter. The green LED will come on.
When the battery is full, or the mobile is disconnected from the charger, the Enviroplug cuts all power to the charger and the LED will flash red.
If the mobile is not disconnected from the charger, the Enviroplug will automatically cut the power after three hours.
To reset, unplug the Enviroplug, or turn power off and on again at the wall.
To override the Enviroplug, turn it on, off and on again.
The LED will light red continuously and the power will be supplied to the mobile without monitoring or timed cut off.
To reset for normal use, turn the power off, wait five seconds and turn on again.
Designed to work with a mobile phone charger rated at 2 amps or less.
Will it cut my carbon footprint?
Probably not. Despite the energy you’ll save by using this product, this is unlikely to be enough to cover the amount of carbon produced in manufacturing and shipping it.

What wattage is it compatible with?
The bulb is 42W but produces 60W of light with a voltage of 240 volts.
Will it fit in an average light fitting?
These light bulbs have a standard bayonet cap, so if your lamp or light fitting uses bayonet bulbs then these should be fine.
Do energy-efficient bulbs have a different light?
Energy efficiency bulbs have been updated considerably from the first of their kind and now give a light very similar to an ordinary bulb.
Do they take a long time to turn on?
No, energy-efficient bulbs take under a minute to reach full beam.

Return Policy:
If you change your mind about buying a Product, you may cancel the purchase or return the item after you place your order at any time until the expiry of thirty days after you receive the Products (the “Cooling-Off Period”). In this case, you will receive a full refund of the price paid for the Products in accordance with our refunds policy set out below. You must return the Product to us in the original packing and in new and unused condition so that we receive it within thirty days after you cancel the contract. All products must be returned in original (new) condition and in original packaging.
If you receive Products which are faulty on arrival or are not what you ordered then we shall, at our option replace or repair any damaged, defective or incorrect products, or refund to you the amount you paid for the goods in question PROVIDED THAT you notify us of the problem in writing at sales@uswitch.com within 3 working days of delivery of the Products.
To cancel any contract or order, you must inform us in writing by email to sales@uswitch.com and we will send you instructions on how to return the order. If your order has not shipped yet and we are able to stop the shipment, there will be no charges; please note, the cancellation is effective when you receive notice from us of cancellation, after you send your request for cancellation. If you have received your order, you must return the Product in the same condition in which you received it and you are liable for all costs associated with returning the Product. We can normally arrange to pickup the item but there will be a charge for this service. You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the Products while they are in your possession. If you fail to take reasonable care of any Products and do not return them to us in their original condition, we may have a right to seek compensation from you for any loss of, or damage to, the Product, including a partial refund, or no refund.
We will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. The refund will occur after the product has been inspected, as soon as possible, and in any case within 30 days of the day we have received your return.
