Ecotricity reviews

Results for suppliers with less than 200 respondents are considered statistically insufficient to provide a valid rating and a score. As such data from small numbers of respondents is not displayed to avoid skewing the results for a particular supplier.

Scores for each question are based on the percentage of customers who responded either 'very' or 'fairly' satisfied with their gas and electricity supplier for that particular area. For example, the percentage score assigned to suppliers for the recommend a friend question is based on the percentage of people who responded that they would 'definitely' or 'probably' recommend a provider to their friend.

The last YouGov customer satisfaction survey was conducted in September 2009 and will be repeated in 2010 to reflect changes in opinions and performance of suppliers.

The customer satisfaction reviews are based on the following question: '“Earlier you stated that overall you were (user's satisfaction answer, e.g. “fairly satisfied”) with you CURRENT gas and electricity supplier. Why do you feel this way about your gas and electricity supplier?” Please note that while all survey respondents were asked this question, the customer was not required to provide a review to complete this survey.

To find out what it is really like to be a customer of one of the UK’s gas and electricity suppliers, uSwitch commissioned the independent market research company, YouGov, to conduct surveys of gas and electricity customers. The survey results give prospective customers an insight into existing customers' satisfaction with their current gas and electricity suppliers and the opportunity to read reviews written by customers themselves.
