As Sainsbury’s Energy is a trading name of British Gas, its prices changes also affect Sainsbury’s Energy plans.
On 8th July, British Gas announced it would increase its gas prices by 18% and its electricity prices by 16% from 18th August 2011. British Gas increased both its standard gas and electricity prices by 7% from 10th December 2010. On 4th February 2010, British Gas reduced its standard gas prices by 7%. Previously, British Gas reduced electricity prices by 10% on 7th May 2009 and reduced gas prices by 10% on 19th February 2009.
