Free mobile phone calls and text messaging have become a reality with 3’s Skypephone S2 - a handset that brilliantly harnesses the power of next-generation phone communications and still finds room for a fun camera and media player.

Chief among the attractive features of the Skypephone S2 is that owners of the phone are able to make Skype calls and send messages to anyone in the world free of charge provided that the recipients have a Skype ID.

Speedy internet access, meanwhile, allow users to check their Facebook and MySpace pages, instant message friends with Windows Live Messenger and surf the web for information, with shortcut options to sites through a special Launcher application making this as easy as possible.

The handset contains a great 3.2 megapixel camera and a music/video player and downloadable games for entertainment, with internal memory of 16 MB allowing plenty of storage capacity. This can be boosted further, however, by the addition of microSD cards.
