BlackBerry Bold 9780 details
Looking for the consummate messaging phone? The BlackBerry Bold 9780 could well be what you're looking for. With its physical QWERTY keyboard and superlative email functionality, the Bold 9780 is simply fantastic for working on the go. And it's just as good for social networking and entertainment too.
All BlackBerry mobiles are fantastic at email. The Bold 9780 is no exception. With push email, whereby mails are sent directly to your phone, you'll be able to pick up and respond to messages just as efficiently as you do at home on your desktop. And there's an attachment viewer onboard too, so you can work on important documents no matter how far you stray from your place of work.
Just as impressive is the great WebKit internet browser that's pre-installed, which teams with the Bold 9780's support for 3G networks to allow you surf the web and download content at super-fast speeds. Plus, there's a great choice of apps too, with hundreds of great tools and games on offer at the App Market.
Elsewhere, you'll find a five megapixel camera, which packs flash, autofocus, image stabilisation and 2x digital zoom, and takes good snaps each and every time. And it's capable of video recording as well.
Other features of the Bold 9780 include a full range of connectivity options, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G, GPS support for satellite navigation functionality, 512MB of internal memory and the scope to boost this by up to 32GB by adding a microSD card.
More on the BlackBerry Bold 9780
Like the BlackBerry Torch, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 runs the latest iteration of phone maker Research in Motion's OS 6 operating system. Designed to make it easier to get to grips with than earlier versions of the BlackBerry interface, the Bold is simple to use even for smartphone novices.
The fantastically well thought out OS6 is also brilliant for social networking on the go, with live updates smoothly integrated into a single area to make it easy to keep up to date with friends and family and update your own profiles.
As with all BlackBerry phones, the Bold 9780 has the BlackBerry Messenger app pre-installed. This great free to use tool is regarded as the best instant messaging application around for smartphones with all the features you'd expect from a desktop equivalent.
