BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 White details

Messaging and emailing is the raison d'etre of the brilliant BlackBerry Curve 3G. With the peerless BlackBerry Messenger instant messaging service built-in, a fun camera and a QWERTY keyboard, it's got everything you expect from a BlackBerry phone.

BlackBerry doesn't make average smartphones. The fantastic Curve 3G is proof positive of that and of the range's never less than excellent credentials as messaging and email marvels. That's thanks in no small part to the gloriously tactile, easy to use physical QWERTY keyboard that makes it possible to tap out lengthy messages in half the time it'd take with more fiddly, touchscreen keyboards.

Email is at the heart of this stellar handset. With push functionality, you'll get notifications each time an email lands in your inbox, making it much, much easier to stay on top of your work and respond to mails from friends and family. You'll also benefit from the peerless email security that BlackBerrys offer, so you'll never have to worry that your personal details could fall into the wrong hands, and a unified inbox, meaning that all your mails land in one place to make them easy to see.

Keen on instant messaging? The Curve has got you covered, thanks to the great, pre-installed BlackBerry Messenger app that features a clean and modern chat-style layout and the option to add a custom display picture. There's also no limit on message length and it's totally free to use, meaning you can massively cut down on your outgoings on calls and texts.

Other features of the Curve 3G include one-touch access to social networking sites, 3G support for super fast web browsing, a 2.4-inch screen, A-GPS support for sat-nav functionality, a choice of thousands of apps from BlackBerry World, expandable memory up to 32GB and a two megapixel camera that's perfect for capturing life's spontaneous moments.

Forget iPlayer, 4OD, etc - they don't work. Youtube is awkward and it doesn't have OS6 yet. Other than that it's great. Battery life is brilliant considering I leave WIFI and Bluetooth connected constantly - try that on a Windows Mobile phone and the battery won't last long at all.
