BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 details
The BlackBerry Pearl 8220 boasts a stylish design, great large colour display, Qwerty keyboard and full array of features to easily justify its manufacturers claim that is a phone that you’ll flip for.
Innovative design is at the heart of this smartphone, with its two screen system bearing this out. The first external screen enables information to be viewed without even opening the phone. Meanwhile, the second one is for the more advanced multi-media functions such as web browsing and e-mails.
Composing e-mails is easy with the full Qwerty keypad and SureType software and the document viewer and editor for Word, Excel, PDF and Powerpoint makes this a great device business phone.
The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220’s fast internet connectivity makes for a fantastically satisfying web browsing experience, allowing you quickly download content for its similarly excellent media player.
Other features of this standout phone include polyphonic ringtones, a two megapixel camera equipped with flash and zoom, 128M of flash memory with scope to add to this via a microSD card, Bluetooth and USB connectivity for easy synching with other devices as well as embedded and downloadable games to keep you entertained.
Owners can expect up to four hours of talk time and up to 336 hours when the phone is in standby mode. Quad band compatibility allows the phone to be used all over the globe.
More on the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220
The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 stands out from other BlackBerry handsets, which have the appearance of mini computers, for its clamshell design. This makes it significantly more compact than its predecessors and more consumer-friendly.
However, despite its slim dimensions it nonetheless packs in all the features for which BlackBerry mobile phones have become famed. Not least in the form of its advanced e-mail functions. The phone supports a host of e-mail solutions, including BlackBerry Enterprise, Microsoft Exchange and IMB Lotus, Novell. And thanks to the attachment viewer, users are able to examine important documents no matter how far they stray from the office.
The Pearl series from BlackBerry marked a change in manufacturers Research in Motion’s strategy as it looked to expand its appeal beyond its core business market. This is reflected in the BlackBerry Pearl 8220 Flip, which houses a web browser and a media player to keep you entertained while you are on the go.
