Google Nexus One details

The Nexus One is the long-awaited debut mobile phone from Google. And what a debut it is. It's got everything from a great five megapixel camera, a powerful processor, built-in Google apps and a massive touchscreen.

Onboard this outstanding device, you'll find the very latest 2.1 edition of Google's Android operating system. This combines with the powerful 1GHz Snapdragon processor for a smooth, smartphone experience that's custom-made for multi-tasking and really allows you to make the most of your next-generation handset.

And that's not all. As with all Android phones, the Nexus One comes with a host of great Google apps pre-installed, including YouTube and Facebook, so you'll be able to update your page and access an endless stream of entertainment while you're on the go.

Just as impressive is the Nexus One's fantastic five megapixel camera, which delivers stellar snaps each and every time. And to ensure you get the best image possible, it's equipped with autofocus, smile detection technology, an LED flash and digital zoom. Plus, it's just as adept at video recording too.

Other features of the Nexus One include a digital compass, GPS support, voice memo, push email, geo-tagging, a richly colourful 3.7-inch touchscreen with a multi-touch user interface, media player and MMS messaging for sharing your pictures with friends.

More on the Google Nexus One

After years of rumours that Google was planning to enter the smartphone market, the Nexus One finally arrived in 2010. As with all Android phones, it's a cutting edge device that teams superb specifications with similarly brilliant Google applications, such as Facebook, YouTube and Gmail.

Buyers also get a choice of tens of thousands of other free and paid for apps from Google's online phone software store, the Android Market. These take in everything from great games to handy, practical apps that can help you find your way in unfamiliar locales and even assist you in running your business.
