HTC Touch Diamond details

HTC’s Touch Diamond is at the very forefront of smartphone technology, offering a brilliant touchscreen operating system and a rich online experience. It’s also more than a match for Apple’s Iphone.

With a touch responsive user interface and ultra-fast HSDPA internet connectivity, the HTC Touch Diamond delivers an online experience to rival that of a notebook computer. Meanwhile smart 3D graphics on the phone’s large, vibrant colour screen mean that contacts, music tracks, videos and photos are brought to life, offering the owner far richer and more fun usage than an uninspired line of text.

GPS-enabled, the handset doubles as a Sat-Nat device with its accurate and ultra-sensitive specifications enabling owners to find their destination as quickly as a dedicated application. They can also access up to the minute information and forecasts with HTC’s Weather application.

Entertainment is covered by a media suite, with the facility to watch video clips or enjoy your favourite music while on the move. Meanwhile, the handset’s excellent 3.2 megapixel camera is terrific for capturing the perfect moment in style and is capable of recording still and moving images.

The handset has a massive 4GB of internal memory, with slots for microSD cards offering scope for boosting storage capacity yet further.

More on the HTC Touch Diamond

HTC’s Touch Diamond was touted in many quarters as an iPhone killer and the Sony Xperia XI, and with its sharp looks, intuitive interface and powerful functionality it is not hard to see why.

As well as the features above, the HTC Touch Diamond also offers owners an accelerometer sensor for auto rotate, touch sensitive navigation controls, polyphonic and MP3 ringtones, handwriting recognition software, motion-sensitive Wii-style games and video calling.

Meanwhile, the inclusion of key Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint mean that the phone is as serious about business as it is about pleasure.

Talk time is up to five and a half fours, or 285 hours when the phone is on standby.

It's not quite an iPhone beater, the interface can be a bit sluggish at times, but if you want a super-smart smart phone I'd go for this every time!

As someone who bought this phone as a step-up from a standard feature-phone, how could I not be impressed? It's really intuitive to use and I love the faceted design.
