HTC Wildfire Red details

With sizzling looks and a slew of truly stellar specs, the HTC Wildfire is almost too hot to handle. Plus, it's got thousands of fantastic apps and a gorgeous 3.1-inch touchscreen too.

Android phones are arguably the hottest handsets in the world right now. And one look at the Wildfire should be enough to tell you why.

As with all phones that run the Android operating system, the Wildfire comes with some great apps pre-installed, including YouTube and Facebook for keeping up to date with friends and staying entertained while you're on the go.

And that's not all. By visiting Google's expansive online download store Android Market, you'll be able to choose from tens of thousands of other titles, including great games as well as more practical business applications.

Also on board is an impressive five megapixel camera, which is equipped with autofocus, LED flash and smile detection technology to help you get the best image possible. It records video too, so you'll be able to capture mini movies.

Other features of the Wildfire include the latest 2.1 version of Android, an expansive 3.1-inch touchscreen, Facebook, Flickr and Twitter integration, a Qualcomm 528Ghz processor to facilitate multi-tasking, A-GPS support and a digital compass for route-finding in unfamiliar locales.

Love this phone, had it 6 months now. Never used to bother with apps or internet but ease of use, wifi capability and speed means I'm addicted now. Can have a tendency to slow down or freeze on rare occasions when I run too many things at once. Battery gets eaten pretty quickly, obviously depending on what you're doing. Brilliant phone overall.

one very good phone....excl camera, excl battery life (3 days wv low to med useage).... just a shame about the video recording on it !!! which tends to have a lot of picture wobble when moving the camera, and the only other down side is that you cant have live wallpaper etc etc etc as the screen res is so low i think the wildfire s will be a big hit so worth waiting for that one to come out on sale

Had my htc wildfire a few days now, on Vodafone contract. Its an excellent phone for the price. Not to sure about the camera, just the pictures look a little out of focus/blurry- could be the screen quality. I have to charge the battery twice a day sometimes and I wasnt even using the camera or music player for this to happen. Also not happy with the radio, I use it everyday and the reception can be bad at times.I use it through the wi-fi for internet to download, this is very good and is good for social networking. Aps are brilliant, if you get the right ones, as some are not so good or dont even work, but you can just uninstall the ones you dont want.

You really need to have a home internet with a fair gigabyte allowance other wise you will be charged a lot extra for using your built in phones, if you have it included in your contract. Very happy with the phone so far, will have to see how it goes with the camera and radio. Would upgrade to the desire or desire hd but I didnt think they were worth the extra £10-15 a month. Get one today, you wont be disappointed, you cant really get a better phone for the price. £20 a month on vodafone with 300mins, unlimited texts, 250mb internet. You can get 600 mins for an extra £5 a month on top if you need more minutes.

an excellent smart-phone. It's portable, good looking and performs excellently, plus it's not too big and not too small. Hopefully it will be upgraded to 2.2
