LG Cookie KP500 details
Sporting an up to the minute touchscreen operating system, high-end features such as handwriting recognition and good looks, the LG KP500 Cookie is a very sweet handset indeed.
At just 13.9mm thick and weighing just 89 grams, the LG KP500 Cookie is a stylish and slim handset that is nonetheless far from light on excellent functions. Among these is a fantastically intuitive Active Flash user interface as well as a Qwerty keyboard, built-in stylus and handwriting recognition capabilities for inputting text.
Onboard entertainment comes in the form of built-in games with fun Wii-style motion sensitive controls, an FM radio and a media player to enable you to enjoy music and videos while on the move. And the 48MB of internal memory means that there is ample room for file storage. This can be boosted further, however, by adding a microSD card.
The LG KP500 Cookie is also home to a three megapixel camera, which is capable of capturing still and moving images, with auto rotate meaning that you view your favourite images and videos in landscape form. And support for e-mail and a document viewer means that keeping in the loop is easy while you are on the move.
Other features of the LG KP500 include RDS technology so you can find out the name of songs on the radio or in cafes, polyphonic ringtones and a ringtone composer for making up your own and a 1000-entry phone book.
More on the LG Cookie KP500
LG’s KP500 Cookie is a handset that offers the great styling and cutting-edge touchscreen operating system of more costly handsets for a fraction of the price. As such it has been touted as the iPhone for younger consumers.
The phone incorporates a superb 240 x 400 pixels display, which is an impressive three inches wide and is fantastic for video calling, MMS messaging and enjoying photographs you have taken. Just as jaw-dropping is its eye-catching appearance, with three colours to choose from: Black, Vandyke brown, Anodizing silver and Elegant gold.
The phone also features all the standard functions you’d expect such a built-in handsfree, voice memo and an organiser.
Battery life is up to 350 hours on standby and up to three and a half hours talk time.
