Inspired by luxury watches, such as those from Patek Phillipe, and manufactured with similarly standards in mind, the Motorola Aura is the last word in high-end mobile phone design.

Stand-out facets of this remarkable mobile phone include its radical round screen, which Motorola claims is the first of its kind. This is capable of showing a dazzling 16 million colours and is protected by a grade 1, 62-carat sapphire crystal lens to ensure it remains free of scratches.

We think you'll also love the sheer attention of detail that has gone into the manufacture of this handset, with no stone left unturned in Motorola's quest to provide a luxurious experience. The stainless steel housing with chemically etched textures and patterns takes nearly two weeks to sculpt, etch and polish. Meanwhile, the gears inside are coated with Tungsten Carbide, which is the same material used in high performance racing cars.

Underneath the shell there’s just as much to admire, with a two megapixel camera onboard, which is great for taking fun snaps, as well as 2GB of onboard memory to allow plenty of storage space for contacts and photos.

Other features of the Motorola Ultra include stereo Bluetooth connectivity, a web browser and a host of messaging options, including e-mail, MMS and SMS with predictive text.

Users can expect talk time of up to 7 hours or up to 300 hours when the Motorola Ultra is in standby mode.
