Nokia 2600 Classic details
The Nokia 2600 Classic is a fun, perky-looking handset with an excellent digital camera, FM radio and plenty of scope for personalisation - all of which make it an ideal phone for having fun with.
Don’t be fooled by the Classic moniker and the suggestion of fusty old limited functionality - this handset is anything but old fashioned. Featuring a candy bar design and packaged with four interchangeable snap-on covers in sky blue, sunset orange, gold and midnight blue the accent is very much on fun.
The handset’s appeal is further enhanced with internet connectivity, and the facility to share photos and video clips captured with the digital VGA camera and video recorder. There’s also the chance to personalise the handset with MP3 and user-generated ringtones, while the FM radio allows users to enjoy music and news on the move.
Other features include a pre-paid tracker through which users can monitor and limit call times, a 1,000 entry phone book and the handset, SMS, MMS, email and Nokia Audio Xpress Audio Messaging.
More on the Nokia 2600 Classic
The Nokia 2600 Classic is an exercise in keeping tings simple in a fast-moving mobile phone landscape which sees newer, more complicated handsets appear every month with dizzying regularity.
It differs from its predecessor the Nokia 2600 by adding modern features but retaining the excellent and supremely easy to use interface that helped make the 2004 edition of the phone such a sales success.
As well as the features detailed above, the handset also offers screensavers, wallpapers, inbuilt games, an organiser, expense manager, converter, advanced calculator and hands-free.
Reviews of the Nokia 2600 Classic have been glowing, with notices flagging up its excellent price points and range of features.
Owners of the Nokia 2600 Classic can expect eight hours of talk time and 580 hours when the handset is in standby mode. It is dual band, meaning that it can be used all over Europe.
