Nokia 2630 details

At just 9.9mm thick, thin is most definitely in with Nokia’s 2630. And with an excellent camera, an FM radio and a large screen this proves that it’s not the features that have been slimmed down.

Nokia’s thinnest phone at just 9.9mm thick and weighing just 66 grams including the battery, the 2630 nonetheless is far from light on features.

Internet-enabled via Bluetooth 2.0 for data and photo sharing and through WAP for browsing the web, the phone also features a VGA megapixel camera, which includes a novel image sequence feature whereby a single click can capture three movements. Meanwhile, an FM radio means that users can enjoy music while on the move.

However, it’s ease of use and practicality that are more likely to prove a hit with the handset’s fans. In keeping with the Duracell Bunny-style longevity that is characteristic of Nokia’s handsets, the Nokia 2630 has a talk time of six hours and a standby time of around 13 days. The phone has also found approval for its screen’s 128x160 pixel resolution, which compares very favourably with other phones of its ilk.

Other features include a contact management system with up to 1,000 entries, three built-in games and the ability to download screensavers and further diversions. The phone has a download capacity of 11MB.

Great phone considering the great price! I have been using it for the past two weeks & no problems yet. Only a VGA camera but picture quality is above average & to be fair it is better than many other basic phones.

Biggest bonus is that the battery lasted for more than three days with couple of hours calling!

I've found this phone to be pretty good for everything I have needed to use it for so far. The back light goes off in 15 seconds flat & I can't figure out how to change this, I think it is factory set - apart from that it's great!
