Nokia E71 Grey details

The Nokia E71 Grey offers you brilliant e-mail functions, VOIP calls, enhanced security and striking but unfussy design, in what is regarded as the company’s riposte to the rival BlackBerry.

Part of the Finnish communications giant’s ESeries of handsets, the Nokia E71 Grey is an ergonomically designed, feature-rich smartphone that easily matches the BlackBerry for functionality.

Among the features of the Nokia E71 Grey are a Qwerty keypad and an easy to use push e-mail system, the potential to edit and view documents and attachments and a special key to enable accelerated scrolling up and down the screen.

It is compatible with most leading corporate and personal e-mail applications, with a dedicated key to make accessing new messages as easy as possible.

The handset is WLAN-enabled to allow users to make VOIP calls and thus dramatically cut the cost of their charges and is also compatible with HSDPA and GPS for fast downloads and easy internet browsing.

Further features include data encryption and a remote lock function for added security, a 3.2 megapixel camera, video calling, two customisable home screen modes, a high quality display, automatic spelling correction and auto-completion for documents.

Talk time is up to 10.5 hours or up to 17 days when the device is on standby.

More on the Nokia E71 Grey

The Nokia E71 Grey is the successor to previous top-selling handsets from Nokia the E61 and E61i. The phone features a similar form factor and design to both phones but is home to a superior set of functions more in tune with today’s business users.

However, that’s not to say that the Nokia E71 Grey is all work and no play. Although the phone is optimised for messaging and other such functions which are prized by business users, users can easily switch between business and personal applications thanks to the two customisable home screens.

Upon its release, the Nokia E71 Grey was the recipient of excellent reviews. Esteemed technology site CNET.co.uk gave it a highly impressive 8.9 out of ten. Meanwhile, Mobile Choice voted the Nokia E71 Grey the Best Smartphone on the market.

I've had my e71 for 3 months now and I can honestly say it's been superb.

Slim but solid, with a great screen.

Best of all, it integrates really nicely with gmail!

Very very slim, very fast processor, long battery-life(I get around 4-7 days on normal use),super smooth for web surfing, easy to see bright screen.

I have learned the hard way that the backside stains easily with fingertips but on the whole,I think it's worth the money.

I've always been tempted by the Blackberry, but have never strayed away from Nokia as their phones have always worked the best for me! This was the perfect solution, and it hasn't left my side since I bought it! The battery lasts for ages too!
