Nokia N97 Black details
Nokia’s N97 is the perfect handset for internet-savvy consumers and offers brilliant new opportunities to interact and stay in touch with friends. In short, it’s less a phone and more an advanced mobile computer.
The Nokia N97 features at its core an always-open window that allows you to favourite social networking sites and internet destinations. And thanks to Nokia’s social location software, which includes integrated A-GPS, sensors and an electronic compass, the N97 intuitively understands where it is. This makes it easy to update social networks automatically with real-time information and allows friends to update their social location as well as related pictures or photos.
Just as impressive is the web browsing and downloading experience the Nokia N97 offers, with HSDPA connectivity ensuring that getting hold of files is easy as it as home. Meanwhile, the inclusion of a physical Qwerty keyboard as well as a touchscreen means that the Nokia N97 also excels as a handset for blogging, chatting, posting, sending texts and e-mailing.
Meanwhile, for those looking to cut down on call costs, the Nokia N97 is equipped with Skype. This is integrated into the phone’s address book, so that it is easy to make calls. The Skype app will also allow users to send instant messages.
Elsewhere on the Nokia N97 you’ll find an impressive 3.5 inch screen, a five megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a dual LED flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB and a media player to keep you entertained while on the move.
The handset comes with 32GB of internal memory, with scope to boost this further by up to 16MB adding a microSD card.
More on the Nokia N97 Black
The N97 is Nokia’s flagship mobile phone and is widely regarded as one of the Finnish company’s greatest-ever handset as well as the best-looking phone to appear in the highly rated Nseries of mobiles.
Since its launch in early 2009, it has achieved a renown far outside the mobile phone world thanks to cameo appearances everywhere from Black Eyed Peas videos to the promo for Royksopp’s The Girl and the Robot.
Meanwhile, reviews for the N97 were universally excellent, with testers particularly praising the handset’s speed of use, build quality and the raft of functions that have been packed into its compact shell.
