Solid Extreme B2100 details

The Samsung Solid Extreme B2100 is an all-weather handset that is tougher than Popeye, Rocky and Geoff Capes put together. If reliability is what you’re seeking in a phone, look no further.

Known variously as the Samsung Solid Extreme B2100 and the Samsung B2100 Xplorer, this handset so rugged that it makes rival so-called tough phones look positively fragile.

Aimed at hikers and adventurous sports fans, its exterior is constructed from a combination of hardwearing rubber and anti-shock urethane material. This means it’s resistant to all but the hardest of bumps.

And water holds no fear for this handset either. Thanks to its tightly sealed, waterproof shell, the Samsung Solid Extreme B2100 can be dropped in one metre of water for up to half an hour and still work as well as the day as you bought it.

Other features of the Samsung Solid Extreme B2100 include a web browser, great 1.3 megapixel camera, noise cancellation technology, so you’ll hear calls loud and clear no matter how noisy your environment, and a powerful torch for finding your way in unfamiliar locales.

To let owners take advantage of all the onboard functions, Samsung has provided a generous 7Mb with scope to boost this further by adding a microSD card.

More on the Solid Extreme B2100

As well as its amazing durability to unexpected knocks and shocks, the Samsung B2100 Solid Extreme is also equipped with battery life to match the Duracell Bunny. Owners can expect up to nine hours of talk time on a single full charge or up to 600 hours when the phone is in standby mode.

To aid navigation, Samsung has provided a brilliant GPS facility and to ensure that you won’t miss a call in noisy environments a powerful vibration alert is also installed.

Solid in name and nature, I've dropped mine more times than I can count and it pretty much bounces! Great phone for the clumsy among us!
