Samsung Galaxy Portal i5700 details

Compact but multi-functional, the Samsung Galaxy Portal i5700, formerly named the Galaxy Lite, is an Android mobile phone with cutting-edge features, including a 3.15 megapixel camera and a 3.2-inch touchscreen that's a joy to use.

As with all Android mobile phones, the Galaxy Portal comes with a host of great Google applications pre-installed, including YouTube and Facebook. Plus, you’ll also be able to choose from a massive selection of free and paid-for software from the Android Market, taking in everything from fun games to useful navigation applications.

The Portal’s imaging capabilities are second to none. Equipped with a great 3.15 megapixel camera, you can expect to take a superb snap every time. And it’s just as adept at capturing video footage.

To keep you entertained, a web browser and media player is installed. Meanwhile, the Portal’s onboard memory of 180Mb and the opportunity to boost this by up to 32GB by adding a microSD card means there’s oodles of room for all your videos and music.

Other features of this standout handset include a digital compass to aid navigation in unfamiliar locales, a powerful 800MHZ processor, HSDPA support for fast downloads, speakerphone, geotagging for photos and a host of brilliant messaging options, including MMS, SMS and email.

Phone looks lovely and has some great features but does not have a notebook to put notes in nor does it have a radio. Also my contacts keep disappearing.

I BOUGHT THIS PHONE FOR MY DAUGTHER AND SHE LOVES IT. CAN DOWNLOAD MP3 FILES, RINGTONES, GAMES, ETC, FOR FREE.

I RECENTLY BOUGHT AN I POD TOUCH AND WAS DISSAPOINTED WITH IT, 'CAUSE THIS PHONE HAD BETTER APPS FOR FREE AND FREE DOWNLOADS. I'D GIVE THIS PHONE A 10/10

Have had this phone for a few weeks and i love it. No problems with it so far. The battery life is not as good as I had hoped, as it has to be charged every night. It is very straightforward to use.

I bought mine from 3 for £199.99 and it came with a 1GB SD card. Overall, great phone.

A tad difficult to set up. Lacks some basic features and just try to get your music into it - aint going to happen.

It's not a bad phone, though. Looks nice & palms well and the battery life's not bad. Had mine a couple of days now and have experienced no reliability problems yet.
