Samsung Galaxy i7500 details

The Samsung Galaxy i7500 is a truly stellar mobile phone. Not only does it feature the super-fast Android operating system, but it's got a five megapixel camera and a massive 8GB of onboard memory, too.

Measuring just 11.9mm thick and weighing in at a featherweight 116g, the Samsung Galaxy feels supremely light in your hand. But that’s to say it’s light on features. Far from it, in fact. Underneath its shell, you’ll find a brilliant five megapixel camera that takes brilliant snaps and video footage. Equipped with LED flash and autofocus, it’s perfect for when you want to capture those special moments.

Also worthy of singling out are the pre-installed Google apps, including Gmail, YouTube and Facebook. And, of course, because this is an Android mobile phone you’ll also be able to download hundreds more useful and fun applications from the Android Market. The handset’s 8GB of onboard memory, coupled with the option to expand this further by adding a microSD card, means there’s plenty of room to store as many as of these as you like.

Other features of the Samsung Galaxy include geo-tagging, practically unlimited fields for phonebook entries and contacts, a media player, 3.5mm headphone jack, email and fun, motion-sensitive games.

Buyers of the Samsung Galaxy can expect talk time of up nine hours and battery life of up to 450 hours when the phone is in standby mode.

There is nothing wrong with this phone but Samsung shipped it with Android 1.5 and are not supporting any upgrades to 1.6 or 2.0.

In about 6 months you will start to find those cool apps won't run on your phone. The supplied PC Suite software is entirely useless with this phone.
