Samsung i8510 16GB details

With HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, 16GB of on-board memory, video and music playback, GPS and AGPS, TV-out functionality, games, Google Apps, and an 8-megapixel camera, the Samsung i8510 is the perfect phone if compromising isn’t in your vocabulary.

The latest all-powerful handset from Samsung, the i8510 16GB boasts incredible on-board storage. What this means for users is an unrivalled, almost PC-like file capacity so you’ll never run out of room for your pictures, video or music. With a sleek slider design, touch sensitive d-pad, quick access home page, flush metal keypad, shortcut buttons, volume/zoom controls, dedicated camera shutter and camera mode slider to switch between camera, camcorder and playback, it’s easy to navigate around this incredible handset’s many features.

The Samsung i8510’s amazing video recording means you can also personalize your videos. Using Movie Maker and Story Board applications, you’ll be making Oscar-winning home movies in no time. The Dual Power LED screen means playback’s a joy, too. Nothing less than a pocket cinema, with 16m colour and 2.8” TFT screen display and 3D surround sound effect by DNSe 2.0 technology, the DVD quality movies you’ve made and stored on the huge 16gb internal memory card or external MicroSD card will look amazing.

Other features include fast, intuitive and smooth web browsing using the optical mouse, intelligent zoom and GPRS, EDGE and 3G networks. Lightweight design (just 136g) and streamlined dimensions (106.5 x 53.9 x 17.2 mm) and talk time of 8.5hrs (2.5G) or 5hrs (3G) and standby time of 310hrs (2.5G) / 330hrs (3G).

I know what you mean about the dust - I work on a building site and it's a nightmare, HOWEVER that small issue aside this a great little phone!

I think this phone's great, it looks good and has so many cool extras, the main problem for me (and my mate who also has it) is that the screen seems to be a dust-magnet. It doesn't really matter too much but in direct light it's kind of hard to see the screen because of all the dust trapped behind it!

The picture quality is superb on this phone, it links to home broadband easily.

However, there is a lack of information, even in the user guide and there are too few games available!

Love the Nokia N series - then you'll love this too! It's a great phone, perhaps a little chunky but with a great camera and 8GB of memory, who cares!
