Samsung Omnia i900 details
The Samsung i900 Omnia is a handset for users who want it all. With Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, a five megapixel camera and a full-touch screen, it's a mobile phone of staggering quality and functionality.
Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional offers users a familiar PC-like environment on the Samsung i900 Omnia - meaning a seamless integration between office functions and next generation phone features. With innovative software applications like Microsoft Office Suite you can view and edit documents fast, and sharing content is easy with Samsung’s DLNA Certified Solution and Push E-mail function.
The professional 5 megapixel, auto focus camera includes a raft of incredible features, including advanced smile shot and face detection, auto-panorama shot, video recording with Power LED and a Business Card Reader for new business contacts.
The Samsung i900 Omnia’s video features are enhanced by the 3.2" WQVGA TFT LCD display, inspiring Samsung to label the handset as a ‘pocket theatre’.
Other features include optimal internet browsing using the optical mouse, intelligent zoom in-and-out, Full Touch Screen and Intuitive drag and drop, large in-screen Qwerty keypad, Multi Scene mode, Digital Image Stabilization, Video Editor and GPS navigation.
More on the Samsung Omnia i900
The Samsung i900 Omnia appeared in the UK with very little of the media fanfare of the iPhone, but nonetheless managed to capture a sizable tranche of the mobile phone market. The secret of its success is that where some crucial features were left off the iPhone, in the form of the Samsung i900 Omnia no stone has been left unturned in the quest to develop a phone that really does do everything.
Unsurprisingly, reviews of the Samsung i900 Omnia from mobile phone publications were terrific. In particular, testers were impressed that unlike other smartphones which periodically crash and freeze, this handset offered a smooth and uninterrupted user experience at all times.
Since its release the Samsung i900 Omnia has found equal favour with business users, who are attracted by the opportunity to edit and view PowerPoint, Excel and Word documents while on the move and personal organiser functions, and with leisure users who love the chance to download third party applications, top-rate onboard camera and array of multi-media functions.
