Samsung Omnia i900 16GB details
With Omnia meaning ‘everything’ in Latin, the Samsung i900 Omnia 16GB has been aptly named. With business features like Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, a sharp-shooting five megapixel camera and huge on-board 16GB of storage, it’s got it all.
Offering users features more commonly associated with PCs, the Samsung i900 Omnia 16GB is pre-loaded with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional - meaning seamless integration between office applications and the phone’s next generation technology. With software applications like Microsoft Office Suite you can view and edit documents fast, and sharing content is easy with Samsung’s DLNA Centified Solution and Push E-mail function.
The Samsung i900 Omnia 16GB also offers an incredible, professional standard five megapixel auto focus camera which boasts a range of handy features including Advanced Smile Shot and Face Detection, Auto-Panorama Shot, video recording with Power LED and a Business Card Reader for new business contacts. With a crystal clear 3.2" WQVGA TFT LCD display, it’s no wonder Samsung have called this handset a ‘pocket theatre’. Multi-Codec video playback (DivX, Xvid, MP4) an ultra slim (12.5mm) design and massive on-board 16GB internal memory (as well as additional external memory card) also mean you’re not likely to run out of room for your video, music and photos.
Other features include: optimal internet browsing using the optical mouse, intelligent zoom in-and-out, Full Touch Screen and Intuitive drag & drop, large in-screen QWERTY keypad, Multi Scene mode, Digital Image Stabilization, external MicroSD storage, Video Editor and GPS navigation.
More on the Samsung Omnia i900 16GB
According to the manufacturers, the Samsung i900 Omnia has been developed specifically for business executives to help them “stay ahead of their game”. However, it’s also packed with features that can be enjoyed by and will benefit every kind of user.
Navigation of the device is rendered simple thanks to the inclusion of an inbuilt optical mouse which has been modelled on navigation tools commonly found on a laptop. The high resolution screen meanwhile is equipped with intuitive tap, sweep, drag and drop operations as well as onscreen Qwerty keyboard.
The display also makes viewing videos a pleasure. And moreover, because of the Samsung i900 Omnia’s MultiCodec support for DivX, Xvid and other video formats the hassle of file format conversion is gone forever. Meanwhile, the inclusion of a long-life detachable battery means that users can enjoy extended playback without worrying about battery life.
Also housed within the handset is a five megapixel camera with a wide dynamic range mode, face tracking, smile detection and geotagging so you can see where you were in the world when you took the photograph. The phone is Bluetooth-enabled meaning you can quickly and easily transfer images to your PC or share with friends who have similarly equipped handsets.
