Samsung Pixon M8800 details
The Samsung M8800 Pixon is a camera phone to be reckoned with, offering some of the best quality imaging capabilities yet seen on a handset in a sleek and compact package.
Housing an eight megapixel camera, the Samsung M8800 Pixon is a bold step forward in camera phone quality. As well as autofocus, it is also equipped with the facility to take auto panoramic shots, face, smile and blink detection and a steadycam feature that eliminates shaky, indistinct images.
Also included is a secondary camera for video calling and geotagging so that you can see where were in the world when you captured videos and still images of momentous life moments. A TV output slot meanwhile allows you to enjoy these on your television at home. Alternatively, these can be watched on the large 3.2 inch touchscreen, which makes viewing them a pleasure.
Entertainment comes in the form of a music player that supports all major file storage formats. Sound quality is excellent thanks to the inclusion of the Surround Sound System and music can be downloaded directly to the handset. Users are also able to browse the web for information quickly and easily due to the Samsung M8800 Pixon’s 3.5G compatibility.
The phone is equipped with 200MB of internal memory, which can be boosted by by up to 8GB by adding memory cards.
Other features include Bluetooth connectivity for easily synching with PCs or sharing photos with friends, a 1000-entry contact book, call records, MMS messaging, e-mail, five installed games and the option to download more from the internet.
More on the Samsung Pixon M8800
The Samsung M8800 Pixon is in short a cutting-edge cameraphone. It is the first Samsung handset to include an eight megapixel camera and comes hard on the heels of other mobile phones from rival manufacturers which also incorporate high-end cameras.
The phone has found particular favour with photography enthusiasts, who have appreciated that the fact that the superior imaging capabilities it offers means they no longer have to carry around a dedicated digital camera.
However, the Samsung M8800 Pixon is much more than a camera. As well as the functions detailed above, within its exterior it also offer users polyphonic ringtones, an accelerometer, text messaging, an FM radio and a document viewer.
The Samsung M8800 offers talk time of up to four hours or up to 290 hours when the phone is in standby mode. It is quad-band meaning that it can be used all over the world.
