Samsung U600 details
Part of Samsung’s Ultra Edition range, the Samsung u600 marries high-tech functionality within a sleek casing. A feat of mobile engineering, it’s an aspirational handset that manages to house a 3.2 megapixel camera, advanced music player and boundless connectivity within a sleek (10.9mm width) silhouette.
The luxury 2.22'' QVGA TFT screen with 262K of vibrant colours allows for seamless, intuitive and sharp transitions between menu functions, which means the photos you’ll take on the 3.2MP camera look fantastic on screen. With 4x digital zoom, LED flash, enhanced auto focus, half-shutter for super focus and freeze and an image editor, all your memories are preserved perfectly. And for moving pictures, there’s the video recorder with simultaneous voice recording. The Samsung u600 has faster JPEG capture time, at 0.6 seconds, so the quality’s fantastic.
The feature rich Samsung u600’s advanced music player is compatible with multiple audio formats including MP3, AAC, AAC+, e-AAC+ and WMA. You can use Bluetooth to listen wirelessly with a stereo headset, and transfer music at super fast speeds using the USB 2.0. Or use the Music Library to catalogue and organize your music.
Other features include: faster connection with A2DP/AVRCP headsets and other peripherals using Bluetooth 2.0, display your mobile’s content on your TV using TV-out, mega-generous MicroSD memory card and interactive menus.
More on the Samsung U600
Samsung has enjoyed enormous success with the u600, with demand often outstripping supply by some margin. Its popularity has been helped by rave reviews and the fact that it is the slimmest ever slider mobile phone.
Buyers have spanned generations and demographics. Business users have been attracted by the brilliant document viewer that allows you to open e-mail attachments, while consumers appreciate the advanced music functions.
Reviews of the Samsung u600 praised its chic looks, build quality and the array of functions which have been crammed into a compact shell. Also lauded by the likes of respected technology site CNET was the handset’s impressively large screen and the business card recognition service. This lets you take photos of the card, which is then transferred into the Samsung u600’s contact book.
