Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S Blue details

The Arc S is Sony Ericsson's fastest phone yet. It's also got oodles of apps to choose from, a gorgeous curved design, a 4.2-inch touchscreen with the same Bravia technology as Sony's high-end TVs and an 8.1 megapixel camera with 3D image capture.

The 'S' in this superb successor to the original Arc stands for speed. And once you've tried out the handset, you'll see why. The latest version of Android of the operating system and a powerful dual-core 1.4GHz processor combine for one of the smoothest, fastest smartphone experiences around.

Need a phone that takes a great snap too? Good news: the Arc S has got you covered. The 8.1 megapixel camera with its onboard Exmor R CMOS sensor delivers high quality images that are the equal of a dedicated digital snapper. Better still, you can even take snaps and view them in 3D on 3D-capable TVs.

The Arc S excels at video too, recording in rich HD with continuous autofocus to add a sheen of real quality to your mini movies, which you can watch back on your home TV via the HDMI slot. Or just check them out on this gorgeous phone's expansive 4.2-inch screen, which harnesses the same Bravia screen technology as Sony's high-end TVs for pin-sharp pictures.

Naturally, because the Arc S is an Android phone it's absolutely terrific for apps. Whether it's games you want or more practical business applications, you'll find tens of thousands on offer at the Android Market. And to get you started, Google apps such as YouTube and Gmail come pre-installed.

Other features of the Arc S include 8GB of internal memory with scope to boost this by up to 32GB by adding a microSD card, easy one-touch access to Facebook and Twitter, push email, digital compass with Google Maps to allow you to use your phone as a route-finder, TrackID music recognition, a web browser and a media player.
