Listen to music, access podcasts and organise your music into playlists to suit your mood, with the Sony Ericsson W910i – not just a phone it is also the consummate mobile musical experience.

As you would expect from a phone developed using Sony’s Hi-Fi expertise, the Sony Ericsson W910i Black, which contains a brilliant music player and an FM radio, leaves many phones standing when it comes to music functions and sound quality. And with the Software for the Walkman music player enabling users to create and manage playlists and shuffle songs owners effectively have what amounts to an iPod in their handset.

But music isn’t all that the phone does well. Users are also gifted a two megapixel camera, which is capable of capturing still and moving images. And for obsessive bloggers, these can be then be uploaded directly to their personal web space directly from the handset.

The phone also offers a web browser, video calling, a TrackID function which can tell you the name of any song playing in a café or bar, 3-D Java games, music downloads, polyphonic ringtones, MMS and text messaging and personal organiser functions.

Among these is the SensMe feature that brilliantly compiles playlists according to the mood of the user and the fun Shake control method, whereby you can select a track at random by flicking your wrist.

Upon its release, the Sony Ericsson W910i Black was superbly received by the public and mobile phone reviewers alike, with respected technology site CNET giving the phone a score of 8.2 out of ten. Although I've read a few reviews on other sites saying they had glitches with this phone, I went ahead and bought it anyway - I'm so happy I did, it rocks, and I've not had a single problem with it in the last two months - you should get it!
