Sony Ericsson W995 details

The Sony Ericsson W995 is one of the best Walkman handsets on the market. With a YouTube application, support for the BBC iPlayer and a great music player, it offers a total entertainment experience.

The days of tedious journeys to far-flung locales have finally come to an end with the Sony Ericsson W995. Equipped with You Tube pre-installed, you’ll be able to enjoy an endless library of clips to keep you entertained. And better yet, the iPlayer is included too for catching up with your favourite TV shows.

As a Walkman-branded mobile phone, you’d expect the Sony Ericsson W995 to do music brilliantly. And you’d be right. Thanks to the incorporation of Clear Bass and Clear Stereo technology, the music player delivers sound quality to put a dedicated personal stereo to shame.

And that’s not all. There’s also the option to create playlists to suit your mood, as well as a fun shake control system. This allows you select a track at random simply with a flick of your wrist.

Other features of the Sony Ericsson W995 include an amazing 8.1 megapixel camera, with autofocus and LED flash, built-in 3-D games, a 3.5mm audio jack, HSDPA support for fast downloads and an impressively large 2.6-inch display.

To help you make the most of all the features on offer, Sony Ericsson has provided 118Mb, with scope to this by up to 16GB adding a microSD card.

I got this phone the week it was released, it has been brilliant, the 8.1 mega pixel phone takes great pictures and I don't have any problems with it - however it does have so many features I still have not got to grips with them all.

I've never had a sony before but since mp3 and phone packed in within a week of each other I was on the brink of iPhone purchase, a last minute change of heart brought me to the W995 and after seeing my friends stress with their iPhones, I know I made the right decision - great phone!

I'm a Sony Ericsson girl through and through, wouldn't get any other phone and with walkman quality like this, why would you bother with an iPhone?
