Sony Ericsson W995 Red details

On-the-go entertainment is at the heart of the Sony Ericsson W995 Red. With a brilliant music player and support for popular TV streaming sites, you’ll never be bored on a long journey ever again.

Enjoying media on mobile phones has been taken to a new level with the Sony Ericsson W995 Red. The onboard music player is every bit as good as you'd expect from a Sony product. And thanks to the use of the company's patented Clear Stereo and Clear Bass technology, you’ll enjoy a music experience leagues ahead of most mobile phones.

And there’s more. By using the fun shake control system you can choose a song at random simply by flicking your wrist. And it supports playlists, too, to allow you to compile sequences of songs to suit your mood.

But it’s video where this phone really excels. Equipped with You Tube pre-installed, you’ll be able to enjoy an endless library of clips to keep you entertained. And better, the iPlayer is included, too, for catching up with your favourite TV shows.

Other features of the Sony Ericsson W995 include an amazing 8.1 megapixel camera, with autofocus and LED flash, built-in 3-D games, a 3.5mm audio jack, HSDPA support for fast downloads and a large 2.6-inch display.

To help you make the most of all the features on offer, Sony Ericsson has provided 118Mb, with scope to this by up to 16GB adding a microSD card.

More on the Sony Ericsson W995 Red

The Sony Ericsson W995 is simply a fantastic music phone. But if you don’t believe us, check out the reception it received from some of the web’s best regarded technology sites.

Cnet lavished praise on the W995’s amazing array of media functions and entertainment options. And Tech Radar went one better and described the W995 as one of the best ever handsets in Sony Ericsson’s Walkman series.

The esteem in which this phone is held is further highlighted by the fact analysis of almost 500 reviews conducted by alatest gives the W995 a hugely impressive aggregate score of 81/100. It’s perhaps no surprise then that the W995 was one of 2009’s best-selling mobiles.

I got this phone the week it was released, it has been brilliant, the 8.1 mega pixel phone takes great pictures and I don't have any problems with it - however it does have so many features I still have not got to grips with them all.

I've never had a sony before but since mp3 and phone packed in within a week of each other I was on the brink of iPhone purchase, a last minute change of heart brought me to the W995 and after seeing my friends stress with their iPhones, I know I made the right decision - great phone!

I'm a Sony Ericsson girl through and through, wouldn't get any other phone and with walkman quality like this, why would you bother with an iPhone?
