Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini details
With its smart looks and super compact dimensions, the Android powered Sony Ericsson's Xperia X10 Mini has definitely got the X factor. But despite its sleekness it still packs in a five megapixel camera, a 2.6-inch touchscreen and some excellent pre-installed Google apps.
The Android powered X10 Mini is the smallest phone yet to use Google's cutting-edge smartphone operating system. At around the same size as a credit card and weighing just 86g, it'll fit snugly into even the smallest palm. But if you're expecting that this means it's light on functions, I'm afraid you'll need to think again.
Like other Android phones, the X10 comes with great apps pre-installed - including Facebook and YouTube. Better yet, you'll also be able to choose from a massive range of free and paid for titles from the Android Market.
The X10 also excels as a camera phone. The onboard five megapixel camera delivers excellent snaps every time. And there's a handy autofocus function to help out the less able photographers.
Entertainment comes in the form of a media player that features picture and sound quality of the high standard that you'd expect from a Sony branded device. And there's a smart web browser and built-in games here too.
Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a GPS receiver with A-GPS, TrackID music recognition functionality, expandable memory via microSD card and a 2.55-inch touchscreen for an intuitive user experience.
More on the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini
The X10 Mini is the slimmed down edition of the huge selling Xperia X10 smartphone. The reduced scale handset also runs Google's in-vogue Android operating system and chiefly only really differs from its predecessor by featuring a smaller screen.
The phone's tiny dimensions mean it's probably the first Android phone that can be used comfortably in one hand. And probably the best looking smartphone to feature the OS so far.
