T-Mobile G2 Touch details

The Android-powered T-Mobile G2 Touch - which is the HTC Hero rebranded with a special T-Mobile interface - is a truly next-generation mobile phone. It’s got everything from a highly advanced operating system, huge scope for customisation and a great camera. What more could you ask for?

Manufactured by HTC, the G2 Touch is at the very forefront of cutting-edge mobile phone technology. This is evident in its amazing HTC Sense interface, which lets users customise their homescreen with quick-launch icons – allowing them to get to all their favourite and most-used features in a trice.

The G2 Touch is also the first mobile phone to feature the latest version of Google’s Android operating system. This means that as well as having the search engine and access Google apps such as YouTube, owners also benefit from an array of superb new functions.

These include an upgraded gesture recognition system that recognises users’ handwriting. And there’s also the brilliant Google Translate application that allows text to be translated with a single click – a boon when you’re in foreign locations.

Other features of the T-Mobile G2 Touch include a five megapixel camera that delivers terrific still images and video footage, a web browser, advanced e-mail functions, 3.5mm headphone jack and an impressively large 3.2-inch QVGA touchscreen.

The phone also boasts GPS compatibility for easy route-finding, as well as 3G HSDPA support to allow users to download files and surf the web at super-fast speeds.

More on the T-Mobile G2 Touch

The HTC Hero is awesome - more like a mini-computer than a phone. The google maps feature has saved my skin a few times already when I get lost!

I have my HTC hero just over a month and have to rebuild it twice remove apps and it still runs like a dog with only two legs. I compared it wy my nephews HTC Magic and it makes mine look like a Sinclair Spectrum PC (for those that are old). It also have the nice feature of force apps to close on a regular basis.
