The Samsung Jet looks on course to be one of the South Korean company’s most successful phones ever, with the news that two million consumers have placed orders for the new mobile phone prior to its launch.
According to industry experts, the impressive level of pre-release demand means that the Jet is expected to surpass the sales recorded by the Tocco and Omnia range of phones which had previously been the firm’s top sellers.
Touted as the world’s fastest fully touchscreen operated smartphone, the Jet features an 800MHz processor to facilitate the simultaneous use of the Jet’s features and applications.
Additional standout features of the multi-functional mobile telephone include 3G and HSDPA support for fast downloads, a five megapixel camera as well as a widget based homescreen that enables owners to customise their handset’s layout.
Other new mobile phones due from Samsung this year are the successor to the i900 Omnia cameraphone, dubbed the i8000 Omnia 2, and two new Android handsets.
