Developed by DoCoMo in conjunction with Sharp and Olympus, the new touchscreen phone features a shell fashioned entirely out of wood taken from cypress trees from the Shimanto forest. That means it’s biodegradable and thus way more eco-friendly than a lot of the phones currently being touted as planet-savers.

But that's not to say it's any less robust than traditonal mobiles - it's been treated so that it’s resistant to water, insects and even mildew.
Alas, at the moment the Touch Wood remains nothing than a concept phone, so the chances of you or I ever getting our hands on one are slim to none.
