LG BL40 CHOCOLATE

The LG Chocolate BL40’s advanced media capabilities are being highlighted in a high-profile campaign that sees the South Korean company team-up with 20th Century Fox and Future Publishing.

To coincide with the forthcoming launch of the studio’s 3-D epic Avatar, a cutting-edge augmented reality advertisement is to run in the December issues of Total Film and T3.

Readers who view the embedded augmented reality icon in the ad through a web camera will be able to watch a trailer for the movie that plays on a virtual user-controllable version of the BL-40.

John Barton, sales and marketing director at LG, said: "We're delighted to be working with Future on such an exciting campaign.

"Both Avatar and the new LG Chocolate BL40 represent innovations in their respective industries which this campaign will bring to life by delivering a cutting edge platform to interact with our customers."

Available now, the BL40 is home to an industry-leading four-inch display, a media player, five megapixel camera and 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset also offers HSDPA support for fast downloads.

Avatar, the first movie from James Cameron for 12 years, will be released in the UK on December 18th.
